My Summer To-do List

Now that I’ve been off school for over a week, it is safe to say that I’m starting to get a little antsy. It’s really not that surprising, seeing as I got used to constantly packed days and now I have the day to myself to do as I wish. Of course that is only useful if you have an idea of what to do. Thankfully I thought in advance and did make some plans, unfortunately they don’t start until June, so I’ve taken this past week to enjoy the end of school, and figure out what I’m going to do to keep myself from going stir crazy.

Looking ahead at what's to come I know I need to focus on preparing. I have a trip to Toronto and New York in a few months and especially since my trip to New York is for a conference, I need to update my wardrobe and get some pieces for outfits that will absolutely scream girl boss. And if some of those pieces happen to work for the wardrobe I’m putting together for going over to London then alleluia.

Before I can go shopping though, I need to clear out my closet which is a lovely mix of clothes I bought during my first year of uni, and few pieces that I’ve managed to hold to from middle school. I realized there is no need to for me to have as many clothes as I do since I don’t wear them all as often that would warrant me to have them. So clearing out my closet, and room in general is definitely a focus for this summer and will probably take all summer.

Since I don’t have one thing that takes up the majority of my time. I want to put some real effort into maintaining and improving my blog as well as my Instagram. Putting together a content calendar and working on developing interesting post ideas is at the forefront of that effort. And in order to do that I have to live a life worth posting about, and I mean that in an authentic way.

Therefore, the last but not least item on my to-do list is to have an enjoyable summer. Whether it’s filled with planned trips or spontaneous drives, full days of exploring or quiet days with a book in hand at a coffee shop, I want my summer to be full of enjoyable moments, and lasting memories of more than just my casual 12 hour binging session.

What do you plan on doing this summer?
