My Daily Morning Skincare Routine

I would say my skin has 3 main problems that come and go; either being oily or dry, dullness, and uneven tone. It has always gone between being really dry or feeling super oily which caused me to stay away from some moisturizers because they often continued to make my skin oily, no perfect solution. Recently, I’ve noticed my skin appearing more dull than usual which isn't great when you don’t feel like wearing makeup but also aren’t feeling the dull look. And after going through the joy of teenagehood acne I have a few lingering memories in the form of dark patches of skin here and there, but over the past few months I started to develop a routine for my skin that left me feeling refreshed and my skin ready to take on my day.
This routine works for me and doesn’t take up a ton of time in the morning. It doesn’t solve all my skin problems, but its affordable and in my opinion helps where I need it. I do this every morning whether or not I’m planning on putting on makeup or going out. It doesn’t take long I’m ready to take on the day.

I start my routine with a quick spritz of hydrating face mist just to feel refreshed. I use a coconut rose mist that I got as a gift, but I know the same company also has green tea and hazel witch sprays. The best part is that I can get it for a great price at Marshalls. I usually just leave the mist to absorb and do something, unless I’m in a rush. Afterwards I use a Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid serum to work on brightening my skin. This is the first serum that I used and it was great because I got it for a great price at Home Goods so I’m able to see the benefits without breaking my bank. I get a lot of beauty products from those stores so be sure to take a look before you pay $40 dollars for a product you could get something similar for less than $10.

Next for me is the moisturizer which I also use as primer. This would be my splurge product, but I got it as a gift so I’m making the most of it which is easy since a little goes a long way and I love how it moisturizes my skin. To finish it all up I apply sunscreen and it’s done.
