Why I Chose Pela Case
Choosing a new phone case has never been an easy task for me; there are just so many designs to choose from! Do I want a sleek one? A chic one? One that reveals my not so inner nerd? This time, however, once I had multiple pages open from Urban Outfitter, Etsy, and many other sites, I paused.
I've always been passionate about the Earth, I was practically raised in the ocean, and it brought me to tears when I'd see videos of turtles choking, or islands made of plastic. I know there is so much more I could do to help the environment, my phone case was just one tiny thing. I remembered a post I saw about Pela case, closed all those other pages, and opened pelacase.com.
It's amazing the variety of colors and designs that Pela has. I chose the pink quartz "Believe in Better" case, not only do I like the design and color, but it's also my own personal reminder to keep believing and trying to do better.
I chose Pela Case because they are trying to make a difference. Their cases are 100% recyclable and made from plant materials. They even skipped out on plastic packaging because they're genuinely passionate about their cause and helping the environment.
It might take some getting used to, and I know I'll be tempted to buy another phone case that's made of plastic, but I think I'm going to stick with a recyclable phone case like Pela because sometimes you just have to believe in better.
Have you heard of Pela Case, and how do you try to be green?
